Ascent Trip Report

Me & Ed

Cold winter day. 22F at hike start. 17F at hike end.
Start 8:40am
Lean-to 9:45am
Big Indian Summit 11:45am
Fir Summit 1:45am
Finish 4pm

Many water crossings to get to the lean-to. Toughest was having to shimmy and crawl on a log because the water was so high and strong. Feet got wet. Big toes black & blue for a week. Eventually down to baselayer & jacket & vest. Insulated pants. Many snowballs in the microspikes (every time step in water). Slight snow drizzle the 1st hour of hike. Sunny afterwards, 'warm'

Bushwacked 2 miles from Big Indian summit to Fir summit following a herdpath.
