Ascent Trip Report

I had no idea that Ben stopped at this little park too and just like me got out and read the historic marker and hiked up it. I follow again!

Parked at the parking lot and then hiked down to the county road and took photos of the signs and the memorial markers for my records then hiked back up to the car and through the gate and up to the top. A little interesting history with the cross and native Americans using it as a signal look out. This made my total afternoon hiking to have 12 small peaks adding up to around 2,500 feet total and around 10 miles. A rewarding workout in some interesting terrain. This particular little side trip was not so wonderful, but in Texas, you have to grab any peak on public lands you can find since nearly all highpoints are on private I enjoyed another outing to end the day.
