Ascent Trip ReportA delightful winter scramble of Cowlitz Rocks with Rob Busack and Tim Carnes. We followed the closed road out of Paradise, turning left after the bridge. We followed other snowshoe and ski tracks for about two miles, then angled toward Cowlitz Rocks, breaking trail to the summit. We were the only ascent of the day and the first to attempt it since the last winter storm. We attempted to stay on low angled terrain and avoid hazardous avalanche slopes.
