Ascent Trip Report

Followed other reports to the parking area. Took the dirt road from the gate down and then up around the sharp left hand turn. After you make the left hand turn and reach the fields on the right, be sure to walk to the far end of the fields. There is a herd path that begins on the far left end of the field. Walk all the way to this herd path by staying on the dirt road. Any attempt to take a short cut across the field will be met by a fierce jungle of nasty prickers and thorns. Even at this time of year you want to avoid them. Follow the herd path as it curves around and up to the back of the fields. I wandered around up top, but it was starting to sleet so i did not linger. There were some distant views as I came back down the herd path. There are no views from the dirt road. I would have liked to hand around a bit in the fields, but it was getting late to be late in the day. This was my third cohp of the day and it was after 4:00pm at this point.
