Ascent Trip Report

... and suddenly I realized that I was already there, exactly where I wanted to be ... not at the summit, not yet, but at a striking place. There was no wind - not even a light breeze and only pure silence oozed from around us as we stood transfixed and motionless in the fresh snow. The sky was bleached white by the still-falling snow, and the ground was thoroughly blanketed along with every single tree limb and branch. The most extreme color that the forest could muster was a faint shade of silver painted onto the tree trunks. The air was so crisp and sterile - and cold. If only we could have lingered here much longer, but there was still so much else to see!
