Ascent Trip Report

Driving west up #2 Canyon Road out of Wenatchee to a closed gate, I then took a side road to the ridge and the end of the road at 3600'. My '84 Accord with 435,000 miles on it had no problems, though it went slow. From road end, a pleasant trail continues along the ridge to the summit. Surely one will want to continue to the lower eastern summit for the best views down into Wenatchee.

At the saddle before Point 3938', don't take the trail down hill to the right. Instead, continue straight up on a faint trail. Before the summit, this trail veers right into the woods to continue along the ridge on the other side. Some kind person has done some recent good trail work, cutting off all the branches on some blowdowns so hikers can travel right under the trunks of some trees that have blown over.

There was a brisk wind blowing to keep comfortable today and good views of nearby Sheep Rock along the way that I'd gone up the previous week.
