Ascent Trip ReportThe ship arrived home today and I wanted to get away and enjoy some rare November Seattle sun! After inflating my boss' flat truck tire with the handy tire inflation machine that I carry in the Yaris (like any good peakbagger has readily available), I dropped my buddy Chris off at his apartment on First Hill and decided to spend my afternoon getting in a nice road bike ride. First up: my backyard bump, Queen Anne Hill. Kind of funny that the 2 most recent ascents on peakbagger are from my California hiking buddies Keith and Laura. After making my way down to the Fremont Bridge, I followed the bike trail all the way to Golden Gardens, with a short detour to the bike shop along the way for a new red light for my helmet (in preparation for my future bicycle commuting to Bremerton). From Golden Gardens I could make out all the major peaks of the eastern Olympics (one of which I have climbed - The Brothers). This may be the last time you can see them from Seattle for the next 5 months! On the way home, I went across the locks. One was dry - unusual. All in all, a good day to be outside, even if it was just in the city!
