Ascent Trip ReportAfter locating the parking lot on Mt Washington Road we lost about 30 minutes looking for the tri-state marker & trailhead. It was already late in the day when we arrived because we had done the state highpoint of Rhode Island earlier that day. For this reason we hiked at a fast pace with no breaks on the way up. The hike started out on a moderate trail then upgraded to a strenuous about halfway through. We made it to the summit just as the sun was on the horizon beginning to set. On the way back we made it about .5 miles then put on our headlights. This was my first hike I needed to use a headlight on. The darkness slowed us down a bit but we made it back to car then found a nice place and had a great dinner on the way home.
