Ascent Trip Report

Followed Ben L reports but turned them into non drive up endeavors and made them into hikes. The walk up Harlin was challenging as there are no sidewalks or shoulders and lots of cars in the morning, the relief of Wayesbroo Way and Hickory Lane were a relief. Parked in R/W away from Harlin.

The second trip I made a better hike. I parked in the R/W in a nice subdivision off of E Lytle 5 Points Rd by their community pond then hiked on down SR 46 till I got to the tennis courts on the south side of the R/W by the creek; and made that my "trailhead" then hiked along the sidewalks, shoulders, grassed r/w and gas easement up to the firestation 2 water tanks and finally the large radio tower. Full fall colors were in bloom so once the sun came up a bit the colors were nice and a change from FL.

Since two long hikes.... I used the lower starting elevation and put the rest of the gain into add gain and combined the walking distances.
