Ascent Trip ReportThe Richland HP is under the gated and landscaped entrance to The Maples subdivision. Good luck identifying the highest natural ground. If you feel a need to get into the neighborhood, it's easy enough to circumnavigate the fenced house on the right of the gate. But the grass didn't seem higher (much less greener) on the other side.
From I-77, take exit 27 and head west on Blythewood Road. Beyond Miller Road School as the road climbs a hill, bear right onto Loner Road, and the gated entrance will be on your right.
While you're here, it's easy to also bag the Fairfield COHP, six miles north via Syrup Mill Road.
