Ascent Trip ReportStarted out trying to climb Alander Mountain, took a wrong turn and ended up on Brace. Parked at Alander Mtn trailhead on Undermountain Rd. First part of the climb is next to a creek coming down the mountain, fairly gentle with a couple small steeper sections. South Taconic Trail once you get to the top of the creek is nearly dead flat for 2.5 miles until the summit of Brace Mountain. Views from the top are excellent since the last 100 or so vertical feet to the summit are steeper and they've cleared all the trees out. Took a small detour to stop at the NY-CT-MA triple point marker on the way back since I didn't get to it a couple weeks ago climbing Frissell in the pouring rain. Nothing really spectacular there.
