Ascent Trip Report

I saw most people were starting near the power plant parking lot but then noticed a vehicle driving lower on the "trail"; so I followed it in my truck and drove a fair distance up Barret Stoddard Rd. Its almost entirely 1 lane but fortunately I didnt encounter another vehicle. I drove pass several cabins and parked in a small area at a gate blocked for fire use only. From there I followed the road for 1.75 miles until on the left hand side there was a noticable path mostly outlined with rocks that followed a ridge to the top. Loose rocky terrain on the trail makes the decent a little slow, the rest of the road is fast walkin. The trail is defined but overgrown and getting a few scratches is inevitable.
