Ascent Trip Report

Reyes (7D)(6X), Haddock (7R)(6X)
Scheduled hike with Mars as the co-leader. Joining us was Thor Steingraber, Zobeida Arauz, Laura Newman, Ginny Heringer, Camille La Fredo and Robert Zneck. To get there, drove through Lockwood Valley (3 hrs from Sylmar) and returned via Ojai. Distance is same, but Lockwood Valley faster due less curves in road. We did Reyes first then Haddock. The use trail to Reyes start right where the road goes to the right and downhill. Good use trail to Reyes. We followed a use trail (not as good as going up) down to the trail to Haddock. Came back via the trail. The road from Pine Mtn. Summit had just been paved and was in excellent shape. Asphalt all the way except for last ½ mile.
