Ascent Trip ReportThe reds, oranges, yellows overtook our eyes on this warm autumn Sunday. The great weather brought out an assortment of hiking comapnions from the four legged variety, the energetic todler, to the spry 80 year-old. The vista was spectacular 360 overlooking Hanover, Orange and the fall colors.
I had just began recovering from a two week bout with pneumonia. This ascent was a second date planned and I was excited to go. so something like pneumonia wasn't going to stop me. I started taking antibiotics 4 days earlier and my chest still hurt some. I felt healthy enough to make the ascent, though. I went for a checkup a few days later and my doctor said, "wow, you have a fantastic immune system, but you're still crazy for hiking 4 days after starting antibiotics!" It was a great hike with great company. |
