Ascent Trip ReportFirst snowstorm of the season came overnight and with snow forecast for all day I thought this would be a fun one. Parked on Hwy 89 and walked up the FS road to 8500 feet before going cross country through the snow. Snow was falling all day. Wind and cold temps on top made it somewhat uncomfortable and visibility was terrible. Never even saw Freel or Jobs Sister the whole day. To make matters worse I lost my GPS about a 1/3rd of a mile away from the summit while climbing up the rocks on the ridgeline. Must have gotten buried in the snow. When I got home I saw that the trail stays much lower to the left, so I have minor hope that my GPS will stay in those rocks since they probably aren't climbed frequently.
