Ascent Trip Report

I tackled this "peak" following an ascent of Simcoe County (Niagara Escarpment) High Point. I took the John Haigh Trail up which as mentioned in other trip reports is worth the extra distance. At the highpoint there is no view, disappointing for a trail with the name Bluff in it. On the way back down I explored an unmarked side trail, but it just looped around going nowhere. I think mountain bikers ride on these loops. I was passed by a few bikers on the John Haigh Trail. Back on the extension of 2nd Line heading back to my vehicle, I found a large rock just off the trail to the RT. I sat there and ate my lunch. This point offered a nice view of the fall foliage and Nottawasaga Bay in the distance.
