Ascent Trip Report

A great ascent. Started out a Pyramid Creek trailhead. Took trail to wilderness boundary. Scrambled up the boulders alongside Horsetail Falls. A few class 4/3 moves to get through. Cut east around hills toward Gefo Lake. Then, up the couloir to gain the ridge. There are some fun moves in there too. No gear needed. Cut southwest to gain the ridge (not struggling up the scree). Up the ridge - at first the easiest part of the hike. Then, .5 mile boulder hopping up to the peak. Really windy. Descent takes as long to go up. Gorgeous scenery the whole time - don't take it for granite... ;-p
