Ascent Trip ReportOn 9/7/14, I hiked West Bond with buddy Ray for #47 on the NH 4,000 footers list. We also tagged Zealand Mountain and Mount Guyot along the way.
After we tagged Zealand, we headed west on the Twinway, dipping down into the 4,000 ft. col between Zealand and Guyot. After bottoming out, we climbed 550 vertical feet in 1.3 miles to the open summit of Guyot, which is not an official 4K but is better than many official ones. The view was incredible in almost all directions! Quick view break and then off to West Bond we went, passing over the lowly south summit of Guyot en route.
