Ascent Trip ReportMy original plan was to hike Greenhorn Mountain south of Pueblo, but I decided to stay closer to Denver. I started around 7AM, reached the summit around 9:30, got back down around 11:30. I didn't see anyone on the way up, until I got near the summit and a trail runner passed me. There were more hikers on the way down. The weather was sunny and beautiful, but with the breeze, we're starting to move into the cooler months. I wanted to go over to Bottle directly from Byers, but I could not find the trail in the trees, and besides, the clouds were already starting to build up. |
