Ascent Trip Report

This was a very warm day and a sweaty hike. It was 2 miles of pleasant and fairly flat walking, it smelled fabulous most of the way ( pine trees and berries, lots of honeysuckle) and then the steep climb to the top that is marked by a trail marker. One view on your way to the top not much to see. The coolest thing is the railroad crossing and the bridge you go over in the beginning. We saw a huge pile bear poo on the trail. We met a nice couple and had a nice conversation about all the area challenges, however they had a friend with them that seemed pretty pushy and a bit rude but with a smile and some patience a nice visit was had :)
