Ascent Trip ReportWe went to Ireland together with our good friends Per and Kristina to summit its highest mountain Carrauntoohil but ended up bagging nine Peakbagger peaks in one and the same day! Starting out at the new parking lot at the Hydro Road we finalized the beautiful Coomloughra Horseshoe in slightly less than nine hours and changing weather conditions (we managed to avoid any real showers, though). We had heard that the ridge to Beenkeragh was tricky in windy conditions but did not encounter any problems even though we stayed at the main ridge. We parted from our friends at the summit cross and thus missed the infamous “Devils Ladder”, please see their trip report if you consider that route.
