Ascent Trip Report

100% of this hike is in the Arc Dome Wilderness and includes a portion of the Toiyabe Rim Trail. The first mile or so follows and old sheep drive way as it passes through a stand of older Aspen trees along Stewart Creek on the way to the upper meadow. Many of the trees are known as Basque story trees or arborglyphs. Carvings by early Basque sheepherders show dates in the early 1900's with names, pictures and/or symbols.

Mileage includes an easy side trip to North Arc Dome.
