Ascent Trip ReportDrive up, so this doesn't count for my 46'er quest. But after being in the Daks three times and having Whiteface closed, I wanted to get up it to check it out. I paid the 17 dollar fee to drive up the Veteran's Highway, and right around 3800 feet drove into the clouds. 43 degrees on the summit, with only about 20-30 feet of visibility in the clouds. I wandered around a bit, then headed down. |
