Ascent Trip Report

We decided to take the West Trail to the summit because it was longer & steeper of a climb. Great trail through moss covered forest, much of it traveled along a stream. Towards the end of the trail we came out of the treeline and climbed up exposed rock. By the time we reached the summit the wind had picked up substantially. From the summit there was an endless amount of evergreens far as the eyes could see. We took a break and ate some snacks in the fire watch house on the summit. By the time we left the summit it was evident that it was going to rain soon. To create a loop hike we chose to take the East Trail down. About half way down the trail the rain started, mostly a heavy drizzle. After getting back to the car we went to Quebec for the night.
