Ascent Trip ReportOriginally we planned to hike from a different trailhead but the parking lot was full so we were redirected to the Katahdin Stream Trailhead. A very straight forward trail with a long class 2 climb over exposed rock. There was also a long walk on a plateau before the final push up to Baxter Peak. On the summit the views were spectacular. This was the most crowded summit I had ever seen. Beautiful 360 degree view on a very clear day. |
