|Peak:||Bear Pete Mountain|
| Elevation:||8752 ft / 2667 m|
Ascent Trip ReportWe chose trail 143 up the ridge between Burgdorf and Nethker Creeks instead of the Pete Creek approach. The trail is well signed at the trailhead and in good shape as of our visit. It is open to motorcycles, but doesn't appear to see a lot of them.
As my GPS track shows, the trail does not drop to Frosty Meadow but heads north up the ridge. An unmapped spur trail heads to the saddle south of Bear Pete Mountain; it is cross-country with some deadfall from there to the top.
Based on tracks on the trail, one or more mountain bikers went by while we were on the summit - but we didn't see anybody all day.
