Ascent Trip ReportThis mountain is not as easy as some say it is. It is a 4,000 footer, and it is 3.6 miles from the trailhead. There are two views, one on Starr King, and the other down the Kilkenny Ridge Trail about 100 ft. from the summit. The terrain is good. No real steep stuff, no scrambles. You also don't get the crowds that other mountains get. It is remote and peaceful. It may not be a challenge like Adams is, but it will tire you out. |
