Ascent Trip ReportDay trip from car; ski ascent / descent; reached snow at 3,000 ft; bushwhacked up burn to snow line in telemark boots; skinned up most of the way, but booted part of the steep gully above Coney Lake. The summit rock was an interesting one-move-wonder in telemark boots! The gullies down to Coney Lake were fabulous ski descents, as was the entire descent down most of rat creek, until the bushwhack. We had powder above Coney Lake, and corn below! Descended route down Rat Creek. With Dave. |
