Ascent Trip ReportThe trail is hard to locate, so check the GPS track. There is an old stump at the base of a steep ramp leading up the bank from the road. Look above the ramp to the left and you can see a bent trail sign attached to a tree. The trail is pretty good, although very steep until about 5000 feet where it mostly fades in the thick grasses of the ridge. There are numerous cairns marking the route which are more useful on the descent because of the left turn the ridge takes on the descent below point 6026. The summit was calm and hot with many biting bugs.
