Ascent Trip ReportWe parked at the Tombstone parking lot and headed counter-clockwise on the trail. This is an excellent hike, though in late summer you will not have much access to water along the way.
Wonderful hike and great trail. The top of Iron Mountain has a platform with benches. My GPS said 6.84 miles round trip, but mine always reads futher than Ela's (my girlfriends). Hers clocked in about .25 miles less. Nothing really hard about the trail at all. It has good shade along the way on hot days. |
