Ascent Trip ReportClimbed into saddle below Monitor with Dave Kelser. Got sick on the to Fish Lake. Rested ate a sandwich. Felt better. Pressed on to 9550 feet and both of us just lost energy and ambition. We did waste an hour following the trail around the ridge just to see where it went. Sidehilled back to the sadddle. Just plain didn't have it in me today. Disappointing but now we know the route up. Huge cornices still on the ridge just below the summit. Couldhave been trouble surmounting that anyway. We will attack it when the snow is gone. Beautiful area though. |
