Ascent Trip ReportFrom Junaluska Rd, turned into the ungated Almost Heaven Rd (further west from the Indian Springs Rd turn) and followed it to Firetower Rd and the ridgetop.
Firetower Rd changes from macadam to grassy gravel for final couple hundred yards ending at a closed gate. Walked around gate and then turned right up dirt road for the short distance to the commo towers and the outcrop high point just beyond the fenced in complex.
Many posted signs abound on the way up Almost Heaven. We bagged and booked.
