Ascent Trip Report I started at the Poison Spring trail head and hiked to the summit of Diamond Peak in four hours and 15 minutes. A great snow cornice extended East from the ridge and the wild flowers were in bloom, especially the prickly pear cactus (see the photo below). Enjoyed great views in all directions and hiked back to the trail head in three hours and 30 minutes.
The Diamond Peak sign and the mailbox are no longer on the summit, however there is a register stored among the rocks.
