Ascent Trip ReportWe followed the logging road up until it turned off. We set our compass for the peak. We were able to make it to the peak, it got progressively difficult as we neared the peak. The surface became mulch from fallen trees and you sank in with each step. We hit the peak and decided to travel across the ridge to hit the Long Trail and come down below Killington. This took ages, the ridge was littered with fallen trees from past storms, dead pines. We hit the long trail and made it down after a hefty haul. GPS ran out of batter on the way down.
