Ascent Trip ReportHigh point 2\3. Raining off and on. Fee paid at honor box. Trail/road to summit has some low areas that fill with water. Thought that I might become stuck but was able to drive around them without sinking into the prairie. No bison within sight. Summit is a lone granite monolith a metal desk/registration structure and a nice bench curtesy of The Highpointers.org. we had the summit to ourselves. Took pictures and departed for the high point welcome center. Very nice gentleman staffing it. Received info and pamphlets on the area along with personal recommendations. Departed for Scotts bluff. |
