Ascent Trip Report

Botanical expedition to Iran in company of Mostafa Assadi (Botanical Institute of Iran), Tony Miller (Royal Botanic Garden Edinburgh) and Prue Lee (John's girlfriend). We camped at c. 3000 m beside a grove of willow trees and ascended by the north-west ridge, an easy scramble apart from the effects of the altitude. We descended by sliding down the snow-patch (corrie glacier?) and then following the valley down to the campsite.
