After reaching the col between Boundary Peak 414.13
and the Brown Benchmark summit ridge, one last uphill pitch was left to climb. It wasn't particularly steep and the footing was very good. The area between the Pisgah pass and this summit seems frequently used and as such there was a well defined path almost all the way, except in the very steep or bouldery sections.
It took only a few minutes to reach the top of the ridge at the benchmark location. It was nowhere to be found though so I kept going down in the slight col and closer towards a border monument that turned out to be marked with a modern disc sporting a "BM 3541" marking. From where I stood, I could see the ridge ascending eastward until the border trench sharply angled left. I left towards Brown Benchmark north
