Ascent Trip ReportGood mountain in the Camden Hills region of mid-coast Maine. It's a pretty rugged climb and strenuous, especially when you hike straight up the T-bar slope like we did. After the T-bar slope there is a rocky trail which continues to the top. It's pretty wet with loose rocks, so make sure you bring poles! There is a radio tower on top, but the view of Megunticook, Mt. Battie, Camden, and the ocean is spectacular. Good hike for kids. My 4 year old made it just fine. It was tough though, despite the 1,300 foot elevation. |
