Ascent Trip Report

Parking is tight in this residential area. I parked at the corner of Jennings St and Key Ave off Third St, a block below the gated end of Key.
From here the paved road climbs moderately to a junction of the road, which encircles the summit. I continued left around the hill to an obvious,
unmaintained, trail, brushy in spots, that leads a short distance to the top of Bay View Hill. The wooded summit area is marked by a cylindrical, rusted tank half buried on its side. There was no summit register or marker in evidence. The true summit may be atop one of the easily surmounted boulders near the tank. Returning to the loop road, I walked down past the
communication facility to the junction, the Key Ave gate, and the car.
