Ascent Trip Report

This was my second of three peaks (actually four) for the day. I started off from San Bernardino East Peak. As I was halfway thru my day, I didn't like seeing all the bumps I would have traverse on the way as well as the return. Maybe it was also that the HPS Route 2 description was poorly written. But likely due to me now liking to give up hard earned elevation. The quick steep descent of approximately 300 feet was going to be a challenge on the return due to time of day/heat and fatigue. There were 2 bumps to climb up and down before finally ascending the summit. Signed the register; didn't stay long with the return hike still in my mind. It took me about 45 minutes for the ascent and 1 hour for the return to San Bernardino East Peak. The views were awesome.

The next stop Anderson Peak.
