Ascent Trip Report

Gate to Dacy Clearing still closed which adds a bit on to this hike, but the road is an early walk in (~1.6 miles). From Dacy Clearing the hike is a set of switchbacks at a steady grade until you reach the Erebus Mtn junction by bumps pond. From here the trail is fairly well marked until a small 0.6 - 0.7 miles stretch where the spring run off and lack of markers made you pay closer attention. The trail is not difficult and is a very enjoyable walk. About half way around the mountain we decided to bushwack up the cliffs for a view and found several points with a nice view of Tongue and the Narrows. Came down in a different area via a series of deer trails and continued around the base back to Dacy Clearing. About 11.5 miles all together, nice hike.
