Ascent Trip ReportClimbed up the "Four Mile Trail" from the valley floor to Glacier Point. One small patch of snow in a north facing gully near the top. Trail is 4.6 miles and in good condition. Nice views of Yosemite Falls--Upper and Lower, and the middle cascades which can't be seen well from other vantage points. Encountered a large bear ascending the trail near the top when we were descending. Gave it a wide berth by climbing uphill off the trail and hiding behind a tree while it passed. |
