Ascent Trip ReportBackpacked in on Thur. afternoon and stayed at the Biscuit Brook lean-to. Nice fire at night along with the owls and the Brook running made for a peaceful evening with my son. We woke to rain. It rained the whole hike and heavy at times. Didn't dampen our spirits. First mt. that we hiked in the rain after completing 31 other mts.Had a difficult time finding the canister. About 40 mins. later we came upon it. We were both wet and beat a fast retreat back to the lean-to. Cooked up soup and had some fruit. Packed up and hiked the 2 mi. back to the car. Great evening and day. 3 mts. left to finish up the 3500 requirements. |
