Only Party on Mountain
|Date:||Wednesday, April 23, 2014|
|Ascent Type:||Successful Summit Attained|
| Location:||USA-New Hampshire|
| Elevation:||902 ft / 274 m|
Ascent Trip ReportFollowing Hockey Puck's directions, I parked at the cul-de-sac and walked down the dirt road, which led to a sand/hay pit. I picked up a herd path for a short distance and then 'whacked straight up to the summit, which was plainly visible from the start of it.
The summit was open and had excellent views toward the Uncanoonucs. There is a benchmark on the top, but it appears to be weathered/vandalized. Stuck around for a minute or two then headed back down the way I came due to the wind.
NOTE: don't take a wide, obvious path that leaves the summit and heads toward the cul-de-sac; the path and area are on posted private property. The route I took is not posted.
