Ascent Trip Report The day started with me not really wanting to go hiking...It was still raining & I didn't feel like getting wet.Brian got to my house we loaded up & took off...Fine mist all the way up but by the time we got to the TH it had stopped started up @ 8:20 ...Trail was a little mushy but we put on our microspikes & kept them on all day....The higher we got the firmer the trail got...We did see the sun pop out a couple times once on way up & once on way down....
When we got to the north peak there were no views so we dropped our snowshoes & headed to the south peak.just before getting to to the summit we saw our 1st hiker then got pasted by another...At the peak it was windy & cold & no views so we just took a few summit pics & made our way back to the north peak...Stopped on the north peak to get our shoes & have a little lunch & met a couple more hikers ....We were down in a little over 2 hrs ...My knee is feeling better :-)
Just have to say the Mt Kinsman Tr is very well blazed .No problem following this trail...1 time I stopped & I could see 4 blazes....To whoever takes care of this trail KUDOS |
