Ascent Trip Report

Hiked up from Dog Canyon with Paul Corley. Dog Canyon is a hidden gem, very secluded, nice campground. One other couple present at the campground. While going off trail to the peak, I had a brief painful encounter with an agave, which resulted in blood spurting out of my calf for about 30 seconds. The view from the top was spectacular. Log entries indicated last time someone had been there was February 8th, which seemed surprising, given how accessible the peak was. Afterwards went in search of a spring shown on the topo map, and eventually found it. Very nice hike.
