Ascent Trip Report

This was part of Mt Pinos - Sawmill Mountain - Sawmill Mountain West (triple divide) hike which totaled 7.7 miles in 4 hours over some snow/ice. The views were great. Started the hike from the Nordic Center parking lot. The route up to Mt Pinos is generally straight forward 2 miles/600' gain. Only the way up, deviated slightly to find a Natl Forest Section Marker (N34.81298, W119.13744). A second section marker was just a metal pole near the summit (N34.81201, W119.14636). Met one solo hiker on the way back. Register was missing.
