Ascent Trip ReportWas supposed to lead a small group from the Visitor's Center. Got all confused! Didn't see them until I was on my way back from the top. It was a surprisingly easy hike. It was over before I knew it.
Ohlone trail is simple enough to follow once you're on it.
On the return trip, I decided to mix it up and take a different trail. And ended up on private land. Oops. Ran into two separate cars driving down the gravel road who stopped to tell me the error of my ways. Thankfully, they were understanding since I was on my way down and had taken a different way up. (Still not sure where the Private Property sign was that I had missed?)
Barring my terrible logistical ineptness and misguided route over private land, it was a fantastic day. The spring flowers were in bloom, everything was green, and the whole place seemed to be happy from the previous day's rain. |
