Ascent Trip Report

Clear day in the CRG. Some of the best views along the gorge. Snow-covered Mt Adams beside Table Mtn. Likewise Mt Hood beyond Tanner Butte. Larch Mtn and Dog Mtn also seen, and of course Beacon Rock. (Mt St Helens is below the ridgeline.)
Descended to the saddle and down to Hardy Creek to make a loop out of it. The more gradual descent is easier on the knees, but looping the other direction provides better views all along Hamilton's north ridge.
On the way down, cut across the Hadley Trail to climb Little Beacon Rock, a roughly 100 foot climb from the trail.
