Ascent Trip ReportOn WA-24 at virtual mile 69.4, I turned N on Hart Rd. (Hendricks Rd goes S from here.) This point is 4.2 miles E of the Grant county line. Call this point mile 0.0. At 0.7 mile I turned L (W) on Yeisley Rd. At 1.0 miles the road jogs briefly N and then resumes its westerly course. It is possible to go due N from here on a side road, but this is less desireable. At 1.5 miles, the road turns due N and follows a row of windbreak trees in an apple orchard. At 2.2 miles, the road ends at a T-junction at a canyon mouth with gravel piles. I turned L and parked where the road soon topped out as it traverses along the southern base of the ridge that harbors the HP above.
I hiked NW up a broad, rounded ridge and soon gained the crest of the Saddle Mtns. I ducked a fence and intercepted the road that traverses the crest of the ridge. The road leads up to the broad, flat summit which has a dilapidated shack and antenna.
